This is a Korean-run karaoke club / bar / sushi bar catering for hotel guests (lots of Russians), tourists, and some English idiots of the kind who think sushi is exotic and hard to eat. Everything's in English.
People in the target market who have either money or taste probably go to nearby Matsuri followed by one of the area's hidden karaoke clubs. But if you don't have those things, well, Sushi Hiroba is there for you.

This is not a good sushi restaurant. I am sad to think that English people may think of this when they think of sushi.
Food:
The fusiony, avocadoey, california-y sushi is acceptable but generic. Simple sushi is not done well at all -- big, inexpertly cut gobs of dried-up fish and slabs of pale, farmed salmon are all too common.
They put the little blob of wasabi on the little shoyu dish well in advance of the customer actually arriving. This means when you get it, it's already a bit dry and crusty. That's not the kind of thing that's going to ruin your day, but...
Bottom line -- people don't come here because they love sushi. They come here because hey, karaoke with a sign in English.
퓨전스시라는데 캘리포니안롤 빼고는 별다른 것이 평범하다. 벨트위 접시들의 스시들은 오랫동안 돌고
돌면서 더이상 신선해보이지도 않고, 데리야끼치킨은 말라서 딱딱해져있었음.. 참치나 새우등의 가장 일반적인 스시도 간혹 보였지만
가격은 다른곳의 2~3배. 아니, 이곳 참치나 새우는 황금이라도 발랐나?? 신김치가 안에 든 김치롤 두개놓고 한접시 가격이 ￡3.50 이더라. 음식이 평범한건 참아도 터무니없이 비싼 가격을 받는건 못참는다.. 유일하게 먹을만 했던건 5파운드짜리 미니 알밥. 딱 1인분으로 적당한 크기의 작은 돌솥에 따끈하게 나오는게 맘에 들었었다.
値段はかまわないが、こーゆーパッとしないお寿司をたべるわけはありません。
Atmosphere:
Quite a lot of effort has been spent on paper lamps and so on but the interior layout is awkward with constant cross-traffic, and pillars and stairs all over the place. With karaoke downstairs, a cramped kaiten bar, and loudish pop music playing, it's not really either exciting or relaxing.
'요,스시'보다는 약간 고급스런, 그러나 가방이나 코트도 놓을데가 없이 통로가 비좁아 왠지 답답한 느낌을 주는 인테리어의 회전초밥 식당. '히비끼'라는 가라오케 주점이 바로 옆.
Service:
Service is polite but hurried. It's hard to ask for the sushi you want and they seem to expect you to just eat what's on the conveyor belt.
직원들은 상냥하고 친절한 편이다. 스시바쪽에 있는 의자들은 등받이가 없는 회전의자였는데 내 의자가
어찌된 일인지 저절로 빙글빙글 돌아서 불평했더니 다른 의자로 바꿔주더라. 바뀐 의자도 여전히 불편했지만 그냥 앉아서 먹었다..
보통 초밥집에서 스시바에 앉아서 먹으면 서비스료를 안내는걸로 알고 있다. 근데 여긴 바에 앉아서 먹었어도 테이블에 앉은거랑
똑같이 서비스료를 부가하더라... 여러모로 비싼 곳이다..
Unique Point:
There's one rather brilliant thing on the menu -- 'Al Bap', an adorable mini-micro-bibimbap with five kinds of fish eggs. Once again I'm left wondering if Korean establishments shouldn't just focus on making good Korean food rather than pretending to be Japanese.
