Local small-scale family restaurant specializing, despite being called 'Genghis Khan', in Chinese-style Korean food.
가족단위의 외식이나 소그룹 회식자리로도 괜찮을듯.
Food:
Genghis Khan specializes in Chinese-style dishes and therefore tends more toward snack food and hearty, salty stuff than haute cuisine. It's good for what it is and it's one of a rather small number of Sino-Korean options in London.
한의원에 볼일 있어 갔다가 짜장면 먹고 싶다고 했더니 추천해준 곳이다.
한국식 중화요리 메뉴는 물론 보통 한식 메뉴도 있다. 이때쯤 한창 짜장면에 빠져있던 남편이랑 먹은
짜장면은 그럭저럭 괜찮았다. 간짜장이 없는게 아쉽다면 아쉽달까..
Atmosphere:
It's just like a restaurant in Korea -- in other words, decoration is sparse and the atmosphere could be described as 'functional'.
뉴몰든에서 가족외식이나 소규모의 회식이 가능할 정도의 공간을 갖춘곳중 하나.
내부도 나름대로 깔끔한 편이다. 그룹손님이나 회식이 있는 날엔 목소리가 큰 손님들의 소음은 감수하길.
Service:
Nice old lady.
뉴몰든의 다른 곳들처럼 손님도 대부분이 한국인. 서빙하는 여학생도 아주머니도 친절.
Unique Point:
Jajang-myeun (noodles in black bean sauce) is one of my favorite foods and this is one of only about four places in London that does it.
뉴몰든에 중화요리 전문점인 '유미회관'을 제치고 추천을 받은 곳이었는데,
음식 맛이 비슷하다면 기왕이면 분위기가 깔끔하고 좋은 곳이 좋다는.. 한의원 할아버지의 말씀이었다..
