Good place when your friends visit London and want to eat
some (reasonable price) Korean food in Central London.
Youngish clientele, cheery mood, sometimes verges on the noisy, maybe more a 'night out' place than a family place.
Food:
런던의 한국 레스토랑들의 기본 메뉴들은 여기도 물론 잘 갖춰져있고,
특히 동태탕(?)이나 게탕등의 탕류는 한끼를 때울만하죠.
전골류나 불고기류(양념 닭갈비 추천)도 괜찮습니다.
매운 아구찜도 먹을만 했는데, 반이상이 영국산 질긴 콩나물이더라는...
한국 레스토랑에서 와인을 주문하는건 별로 추천하고 싶지 않네요.
대신 한국 맥주나 아사히등이 얼큰한 음식들에 더 잘 어울릴거예요.
Food is toward the spicy, Korean-y end of the spectrum, considering the bland international look of the place. Things like sengsunjeun and pajeun are never soggy. Bulgogi is ok. Gristle level -- I'm sorry, but that's mainly how I evaluate things like galbi-ttang -- is intermediate. Good value for money.
Atmosphere:
입구쪽에 바가 위치한 깔끔하고 시원한 인테리어에, 안쪽에는 단체손님이 앉을수 있는
공간도 있음.(들어가보진 못함 ^^;)
The restaurant itself has no atmosphere, but the clusters of young Chinese, Japanese and Koreans who frequent the place generate a pleasant background chatter. There's a bar at the front and I really don't know why.
Service:
경험이 많은 매니저 덕인지, 서빙하는 스텝들도 상냥하고 부지런히 움직입니다.
다른 레스토랑에서 자주 볼수있는, 스텝들이 한 구석에 수다를 떨며 손님을 본체만체하는
그런 모습은 여기선 보기 힘들다는게 맘에 드는 점중 하나입니다.
Service is good. Waitresses are all the kind who are indulgent when I speak a few words of fractured Korean, and I like that.
Unique Point:
Allegedly, this restaurant checks the appearance
when they hire the staffs. The girls are all lovely.
The staff are indeed all-female and all-sexy, except for that guy at the bar. I never knew the rule was enforced, though -- thats' got to break some law or other.
